Non-linear Adaptation: a Theory of ‘ordinary’ Innovation

چکیده
Without new products and services utilizing this infrastructure (m-services), however, these investments may never be recollected, and today there is no sure sign of demand for these new “nomadic applications” in the market. This paper shows how actors in the m-services value network co-ordinate their efforts to bring such applications to the marketplace. It shows their risk averse and locally optimizing strategies, which theoretically is very different from the current fascination in IS with disruptive innovation. This paper illustrates the need for a theory of ‘ordinary innovation’ in nomadic and ubiquitous

Nonlinear Vibration Analysis of the Fluid-Filled Single Walled Carbon Nanotube with the Shell Model Based on the Nonlocal Elacticity Theory
Nonlinear vibration of a fluid-filled single walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT) with simply supported ends is investigated in this paper based on Von-Karman’s geometric nonlinearity and the simplified Donnell’s shell theory. The effects of the small scales are considered by using the nonlocal theory and the Galerkin's procedure is used to discretize partial differential equations of the governing i...
متن کاملA Discrete Bass Model and Its Parameter Estimation
A discrete Bass model, which is a discrete analog of the Bass model, is proposed. This discrete Bass model is defined as a difference equation that has an exact solution. The difference equation and the solution respectively tend to the differential equation which the Bass model is defined as and the solution when the time interval tends t o zero. The discrete Bass model conserves the character...
متن کاملSymplectic and symmetric methods for the numerical solution of some mathematical models of celestial objects
In the last years, the theory of numerical methods for system of non-stiff and stiff ordinary differential equations has reached a certain maturity. So, there are many excellent codes which are based on Runge–Kutta methods, linear multistep methods, Obreshkov methods, hybrid methods or general linear methods. Although these methods have good accuracy and desirable stability properties such as A...
متن کاملInvestigation of linear and non-linear estimation methods in highly-skewed gold distribution
The purpose of this work is to compare the linear and non-linear kriging methods in the mineral resource estimation of the Qolqoleh gold deposit in Saqqez, NW Iran. Considering the fact that the gold distribution is positively skewed and has a significant difference with a normal curve, a geostatistical estimation is complicated in these cases. Linear kriging, as a resource estimation method, c...
متن کاملVibration of Road Vehicles with Non linear Suspensions
In order to investigate the effects of non-linear springs in vibrating behavior of vehicles, the independent suspension of conventional vehicles could be modeled as a non-linear single degree of freedom system. The equation of motion for the system would be a non-linear third order ordinary differential equation, when considering the elasticity of rubber bushings in joints of shock absorber. It...
